Candid Conversations

Montgomery County’s Faith Community Working Group invites you to participate in a new program, “Candid Conversations on Race” based on facilitated book or film discussion groups meeting this fall & winter.

Participants will learn how our racialized society affects all people. Multiple book groups and a film discussion group, located throughout the county, based on books chosen to raise awareness of racism and white privilege meeting 4-5 times in the Fall & Winter. Participants MUST purchase their own copy of the book they select.

If interested, please contact dc.interfaith@gmail.com. You will be contacted by the facilitators of the group that you want to join. Participants must purchase their own copy of the book.

Groups are forming in early November, and will continue to meet monthly for four more months. To join a group, please respond as soon as possible. You may join any of these groups when they meet next in December. After the December meetings, these groups will be closed to additional participants.
