The fifth annual Interfaith Environmental Conference
This year’s annual Interfaith Forum event is meant to bring together people of faith throughout our local community (particularly the Seneca Creek, Muddy Branch and Watts Branch watersheds but all are welcome!) for the purpose of sharing environmental ideas and inspiration.
Our keynote speaker, Merikay Smith, will present on the Pope’s encyclical (On Care for Our Common Home), which has meaning for all faiths. We’ll share comments on ways the encyclical has inspired local action and also hear from diverse faith leaders on their faith’s environmental teachings.
Comments will be welcome during that presentation and afterward on ways the encyclical has inspired people to local and regional environmental action.
