Interfaith Clergy Responds to Anti-Muslim Ads on Metro Buses

Clergy from the Baha’i, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Sikh, Unitarian Universalist and Zoroastrian faith traditions spoke out at a press conference on June 9 at the Rockville Metro Station affirming the power of love to be greater than the power of hate. They together with other clergy and members of many faith communities knew, in the words of Dag Hammarskhold that, All it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. They stood in solidarity reaffirming the fundamental unity of the human family and recommitting themselves to increasing interfaith understanding, promoting civility and advancing appreciation for our pluralistic county.
